"Portraits"

Here are some drawings and paintings of portraits that have been made during encounters over time. It was moments of conscience captured here and there that encouraged me to keep them in the form of drawings or paintings. Each moment is like an image in a film footage where the sequence of these images creates an enclosure in a reality.

It's like in a film, where when the images begin to scroll, even though you're sitting in a movie theatre, you go somewhere else in another reality, that of film history. When for one reason or another (when the film is bad or has editing errors or when our body has a pressing need or someone coughs in the room) we are torn away from the reality of the film, we are again trapped in our daily reality in which we do not realize the sequence of our moments of consciousness.

It is only when our emotional consciousness takes over, because for example, a tragic event has occurred, that we are expelled from our usual reality. This can make us understand that our reality is also a chain of thoughts where the scenario is self-constructed in the temporal movement.

The portrait shows a moment lived in the space of our consciousness.

The family portrait combines several paintings with different individual characteristics. The difficulty lies in harmonizing the whole so that no one portrait dominates or disturbs the other.
